All the shows offered at Marina Bay Sands are always wonderful indeed despite being expensive
Caught a couple of musical/plays here and the one thing i remember is if you purchase the grand circle seats, be prepared to crane your neck or get annoyed with the ones sitting in the row before you. If they choose to lean forward during the show, it will block your view of the stage. Also, although the seats were fine, they can get quite uncomfortable after a while.
It’s unfortunate that your experience at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Theatre for "The Phantom of the Opera" (POTO) was disappointing. Poor acoustics and obstructed views, especially with an uncomfortable steel barrier, can significantly detract from the enjoyment of such a renowned performance. The anticlimactic chandelier scene must have been particularly disheartening, given its iconic status in the show. It's great to hear the cast performed admirably despite the venue's shortcomings. Perhaps future visits to different theatres might provide a more fulfilling experience.
