This was my second visit to Chapultepec Castle. We walked over from our nearby hotel. It is a steep walk up towards the castle which can be challenging for some, so keep in mind to bring good shoes and might need to make some stops for children and elderly people.

I would not call it a castle, but rather a very large building complex. The building have very nice architectural features. Water and food must be stored in lockers. It's a long water up the hill to the big building complex. There is great view from the building complex.
all in. Some inconsistencies with security (guard at bottom was friendly and told us water in bottles was ok to bring in, guard at top confiscated it 5 minutes later) but that seems par for the course.
Very impressive structure that towers over a beautiful park and surrounding museums. Setup like a museum it takes more than a few minutes to walk through but once you get to the outdoor terrace, you won’t get a better view of the city!
